About

The Greater New Orleans Growers Alliance (GNOGA) includes growers and their allies who are harnessing their collective political and physical power to create an urban food and farm system that sustains grower and eater alike. GNOGA accomplishes this mission through mutual aid, logistical support, shared resources, community engagement, and policy (local and national) campaigns.

We meet quarterly as a general group. To contribute to our meetings, and/or to plug into our resource network you can sign up for our email listserve. You can also email us at gnoga.organizers@gmail.com to get plugged in, but please be patient with us. Our response times can be slow!

Any grower or ally can join as a community member, who accesses the listserve and can attend meetings and workshops as they’re interested. An active member attends at least one meeting every three months and stays active with shared projects, work days, organizing, mentorship, training, or other relevant activities that enrich our growers’ community.

We are a community who values collaboration, member input, equity, and clear communication in all our work.

We are a chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition, contributing to and benefiting from the collective power of our peer growers nationwide.
